Michael Cervieri is an Emmy Award winning producer, Co-Founder of the media strategy collective ScribeLabs and Executive Producer of the firm’s publications. These include ScribeMedia.org, which focuses on the business, technology and culture of digital media, and SMAC, a contemporary arts, architecture and design publication that was selected as an Official Honoree of the 2009 Webby Awards.
His work with ScribeLabs includes producing rich media content, directing digital media strategies and working with designers and software developers on delivering content across new and varied communications and distribution platforms.
He is currently working on a multiplatform documentary called The Future Journalism Project.
Michael’s previous teaching engagement was at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism where he taught Digital Media Skills and served as an advisor to students conducting their Masters Projects.
Michael is 2002 graduate of the Columbia Journalism School and has worked in and reported from different corners of the globe on issues ranging from Saudi Arabian political and economic development to the Maoist insurrection in Nepal to post-Milosevic Yugoslavia.
He originally cut his Internet and Web teeth working for start-ups during the 1990s.
